Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
Protection on every laptop and server that watches behaviour rather than only known virus signatures, and can isolate a machine that starts acting compromised.
Protection on every device, and someone watching when it matters.
Managed security is an outsourced service that protects the devices, accounts and email of a business, and watches for attacks around the clock. It pairs protective tools, such as endpoint detection and response (EDR) and email filtering, with engineers who investigate alerts and act when something gets through.
Most attacks on small businesses are not sophisticated. A staff member approves a fake sign-in prompt, a laptop goes months without patches, or an invoice from a spoofed supplier address gets paid. Antivirus on its own stops none of these, and nobody inside the business has time to watch for them.
We put protection on every device and account, filter what reaches the inbox and monitor the alerts those tools raise. When something needs action, an engineer investigates and contains it, then tells you in plain terms what happened and what changed.
What is included
Protection on every laptop and server that watches behaviour rather than only known virus signatures, and can isolate a machine that starts acting compromised.
Filtering for phishing, spoofed senders and malicious attachments, plus SPF, DKIM and DMARC so nobody can convincingly send mail as your domain.
Security alerts are triaged around the clock, and critical ones reach an engineer overnight instead of waiting in a dashboard until Monday.
Operating systems and common applications patched on a schedule, with reporting that shows anything still exposed.
Multi-factor authentication enforced, risky sign-ins blocked and administrator accounts kept separate from everyday ones.
Known malicious and newly registered domains blocked before a browser loads them.
A plain-English monthly summary of what was blocked, what was fixed and what we recommend next.
Questions
Traditional antivirus matches files against known threats. Most modern attacks use stolen passwords, legitimate admin tools or brand-new files, so they slip past it. EDR watches what a device is actually doing, and pairing it with people who respond is what closes the gap.
Insurers increasingly ask about multi-factor authentication, endpoint detection and response, backups and staff training before they quote. Managed security covers most of those questions, and we can help you answer the questionnaire accurately.
We contain it first by isolating the device or disabling the account, then investigate how it happened, clean up and restore anything affected. You get a written account of the incident and the changes made to stop a repeat.
Often, yes. If your current tools are sound we manage them. If there are gaps or overlaps we recommend changes and explain why before anything is replaced.
