About CyberTab

Managed IT without the mystery.

CyberTab is a managed IT services provider based in Calgary, Alberta, working with small and mid-sized businesses that depend on their systems but have no reason to employ internal IT staff.

Why we exist.

Most small businesses do not have bad technology. They have unmanaged technology. Systems get added one decision at a time, each sensible on its own, until nobody can say with confidence who has administrator rights, whether the backups restore, or what the monthly licence bill is actually paying for.

That is usually discovered at the worst possible moment: a failed restore, an ex-employee still holding access, or a quote for work that should never have been needed. It is rarely the fault of any one person. Nobody was ever given responsibility for the whole picture.

CyberTab exists to take that responsibility. We take stock of what you have, manage it properly, and report on it in language you can act on. We are a young company and we would rather say so than invent a decade of history, which is also why our agreements are month-to-month.

How we work

Six things we hold to.

Owned by you, not one person

Admin accounts, licences and vendor logins sit in a password vault your business owns, so support never depends on one person remembering how to get in.

Flat per-user pricing

One monthly figure covering day-to-day support, monitoring and maintenance. Project work is quoted separately in advance, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

Month-to-month

Thirty days notice, no multi-year term. We would rather earn the renewal than rely on a clause that makes leaving painful.

Response targets in writing

Priorities and response times sit in the service level agreement. A promise you cannot point to later is only marketing.

Security in the baseline

Multi-factor authentication, patching, least-privilege admin rights and tested backups are part of the standard build, not an upsell.

Plain explanations

We use the correct terms, then explain them. You should be able to repeat back what we are doing to your systems and why.

Onboarding

The first two weeks.

You should never wonder what your IT provider is doing. This is the sequence every client goes through.

  1. Day 0

    Access and kickoff

We collect credentials, tenants and vendor logins, and put them into a managed password vault your business owns.

  2. Week 1

    Discovery

A full review of users, licences, devices, network and vendors, so we understand the environment rather than guess at it.

  3. Week 1

    Monitoring deployed

Agents installed across devices and servers, so alerting starts before any remediation work does.

  4. Week 2

    Security baseline

Multi-factor authentication enforced, patch schedule set, admin rights tightened and backups verified.

  5. Week 2

    Handover

We walk you through what was set up, the agreed service levels and the report you will get each month.

Under the hood

What we actually manage.

Network infrastructure

Firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi and secure remote access, designed and managed rather than patched up when they fail.

Endpoint management

Company laptops enrolled, updated and configured centrally through Intune, so every machine matches the same standard.

Identity and access

Entra ID with multi-factor authentication, and a proper joiner and leaver process so access is granted and revoked on time.

Remote monitoring

Monitoring agents watch your systems around the clock, with response targets written into your agreement rather than implied.
