Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to personal information you provide through this website. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Who we are

CyberTab is a managed IT services provider based in Calgary, Alberta, operating the website cybertab.ca. For any question about this policy or about your information, contact us at info@cybertab.ca or +1 (587) 744-0911.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information collected through this website. If you become a client, the handling of data inside your own systems is governed by your service agreement with us, not by this page.

What we collect

We collect only the following.

Information you send us

When you complete the contact form we receive the name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you selected and the message you wrote. If you email or call us instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us. These fields exist so we can answer you; nothing on the form is collected for any other reason.

Website addresses you check

The free website check on our Web Design page sends the address you enter to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads that website and scores it. The result is kept for up to six hours so a repeat check is instant. It is not linked to your name or to anything else you send us.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information.

Standard technical information

Our host records ordinary server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is generated automatically by visiting any website and is used to keep the site running and secure.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
  • We do not run advertising trackers or advertising pixels on this site.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form.
  • We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and site storage

This website sets no tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set one security cookie (cf_clearance) when its bot protection checks that a visitor is a person rather than an automated program; it is not used for tracking or advertising. If you switch between light and dark mode, that single preference is saved in your own browser storage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Who else handles this information

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site. They process information on our instructions only:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and security, including bot protection, privacy-first visit statistics (Web Analytics) and, where enabled, its Turnstile check on the contact form, which tells people apart from automated spam. Cloudflare states that it does not use this data for advertising.
  • Resend — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google — PageSpeed Insights runs the website check on the address you enter.
  • Microsoft — our business email, where your message ends up.

Where your information is stored

Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its laws. We mention this because Canadian privacy law expects you to be told, not because your enquiry is sensitive.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to two years, so we have context if you come back to us, then deleted. If you become a client, records are kept for the life of the relationship and afterwards for as long as tax and business records require. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner.

How we protect it

Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. Our accounts use multi-factor authentication, data is encrypted in transit, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we apply to ourselves the same baseline we set up for clients.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to us holding it. Email info@cybertab.ca and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Children

This site sells business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
